How to make the perfect post?

I have been at this blogging thing for about a month now and during that month my competitive side truly has risen to the to challenge.  I have been across wordpress and Google searching for, wait for it, wait for it, YES how to become “freshly pressed” and “how to get subscribers wordpress”  Like most of you, some of you or none of you I have found that there is obviously a lot of others looking to do the same thing and I shouldn’t be trying to write a post to get it noticed, or should I?

What is my reason to get noticed?

My reason, actually two reasons why I hope to get many followers:

Parkinson’s Disease Foundation

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

If you recall, just do know or forget I am running in the Marine Corp Marathon yes 26.2 miles on behalf of PDF & have a fundraising goal of $5,000 &, YES, AND I am doing the 100 mile bike ride in the City to Shore and have a fundraising goal of $1,000.

For some of you this is no great feat to me this is an incredible challenge.  Yes I am a pretty athletic person; in fact the kind of person thinks you can just go run a half marathon.  I did that, April 1 2012 my first running race ever, I went out and ran the 13.1 miles in 1:58 and couldn’t talk at the end nor see correctly; this running thing is defiantly different from skydiving & mountain biking.   This is my first year truly involved in biking & running and with a new baby (Sky born June 10th 2012) the amount of training required to complete these two tasks, hopefully without injury is huge. . . NOT as much of an inconvenience as suffering from Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis . . .

There are some amazing writers on wordpress both with personal stories to share and some with highly educational information to help us grow. How do we “normal’s” stand out from them to make that “perfect post”

1)   Don’t try

2)   Write with a purpose to share/help

3)   Enjoy what your doing

4)   Who cares, just enjoy life!

I haven’t made a post in almost a week, why, because I have been stuck with many ideas in my head but not sure how to write it down to really make that “perfect post”.  You see I lost touch with why I am doing this and what it is doing for me.

I am doing this to raise awareness about the two foundations to help generate donations.  For me this is helping me stay fit and reflect on my life to ensure I am giving every aspect of it everything that I have to give.

So, what is the perfect post for me the perfect post is the one that motivates the reader to subscribe, share & most importantly make a donation to their preferred foundation.
